Event Topics Overview


Topics are an optional iER feature. Topics can be used if you have multiple events that need the same Title, Subtitle, or Event Description. Multiple events can be associated with a Topic. For instance, if you had a series, you could create a Topic for the entire series and then apply it to all pertinent events. 



Creating a Topic

You can create a Topic by clicking the Admin button in your client's Site. Then select Event Topics from the drop down menu.



From the Topic Search page, select Create Event Topic.



It is required that you add a Topic Description. After adding the Topic Description, hit Submit.




You must then select Publish Event Topic to publish, or Abandon Event Topic to delete your work.




Linking a Topic to an Event


To associate an Event with a Topic, go to the Content section within the Event, then click Select Event Topic from the right.



The Select Event Topic pop up will be displayed. You must perform a search for the Topic by typing in the Topic name as shown below.


When you have selected your desired Topic, click Submit.



The location of the topic will be displayed after you click Submit. Click on the link shown below and copy the URL from the browser window.
